How to support an Author

Authors' put their hearts, souls, and imagination into their stories. It makes us feel good when others read our stories- no matter if we sell the story for $$ or put it up for free. The only thing we ask for in return is for our readers to share with others- which doesn't cost a cent to do. We depend on 'word-of-mouth' from our readers.

The best compliment you could give to any author would be:
  • Reviews- did you know that it takes 20-25 reviews, on Amazon, just to get an author's book on these lists?----> 'you might like' or 'also bought'. This increases the books visibility on the site and helps to boost sales, or free offerings, so others would want to pick up the author's story. 50-75 reviews on Amazon -will highlight the author's book for spotlight positions and the newsletter. That's a huge BOOST for an author. Readers choose books based off of recommendations. Blogs, Goodreads, and any other site you can share on, is truly appreciated.
  • Compliment: Tell your friends to read the author's book. It's the biggest compliment you can give to an author.
  • Sharing: Liking, sharing, and tweeting or retweeting about an author and their books on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or even Goodreads. These are great ways to help promote an author on social media, as well as through the reviews.
If you read Holly Lane - please make sure to post a review. Thank you for your support and for reading! Look for my next book, Nate (A Texas Jacks Novel), which comes out in March.
